Maturaimov Zhyrgalbai

Film artist. Honoured Cultural Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on 19 May 1955 in the village of Ak-Dzhar, Osh oblast. In 1974 he graduated from Frunze Art School. In 1984 he graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. In 1974-1975. - In 1974-1975 he worked in art and production workshops in Osh. 1984-1986. - In the film studio "Kyrgyzfilm". Since 1986, he has been a teacher of one-year courses for graphic designers. His works reflect his knowledge of everyday life, traditions and customs of the Kyrgyz people, love for his native land. Art director of the following films: "The Bridge" (directed by A. Kamchibekov), "Who are you, Ellie" and "Night of the Demon" (directed by M. Minzhylkiev), "The Dilettante" (directed by A. Kamchibekov and J. Soodanbek). Participant of republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. Works by J.Maturaimov are in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G.Aitiev, as well as in private collections in Kyrgyzstan and abroad. Since 1991 he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.
