Кончаловский Пётр Петрович

1876—1956

People's Artist of the RSFSR, full member of the USSR Academy of Arts, Honoured Art Worker. He studied at the Raevskaya-Ivanova School in Kharkov, in evening classes at the Stroganov School of Technical Drawing under V. D. Sukhov, I. I. Tvorozhnikov, V. E. Saransky, G. R. Zaleman and in the workshop of P. O. Kovalevsky. He studied at the Academy of Arts from 1898 to 1906. For the painting ‘On the seashore’ in 1906 (according to other information - in 1907) was awarded the title of artist. Participated in many art exhibitions both pre-revolutionary and during the Soviet era. He created a large number of paintings, portraits and especially many still lifes and landscapes.
